I just tested Summer and her +2 was 299. I thought that seemed high so i tested again and bg shows 266. I tested again and it read 281. So which one should i go with? Why is there such variation in the numbers? I use the relion prime meter.

My understanding is that there can be a meter variance up to 20%, I'll try to find some previous posts for you, until someone more experienced chimes in. Those numbers are all pretty much the same, it is the patterns over time that are more important.

It will do that every time, I'd bet. I had a wonky number once and did 3 tests like you with similar results, I just picked the one in the middle for my SS. :p It's a pretty large variance, it can be 20% in either direction from the lab number, it's best not to think about it too much because there's nothing you can do about it. o_O

the number is really just a snapshot .... gives you a feel for where they are. They get more accurate as they get lower.

Other factors can also influence numbers for example, if you hold the drop of blood for too long.... that can make your numbers vary even more.
