leslie is unable to post here and has this question :At 10:30 last night I took Simba's BG and it was 373 and gave him 6 units of novolin. At 7 a.m. this morning I took his BG and the meter just said hi. I redid it and it still says hi. Suggestions on how much insulin to give him at this point? I did not give him any yet. Will be starting him on 1 unit of lantus tonight. He is eating normally now. Fancy Feast classic chicken wet.

Without seeing all the data is is impossible to give advice on dosing. However it is very possible that in the 8 1/2 hours between tests Simba may have dropped much lower and today's reading could be from a bounce. If I were Leslie I would not react to the higher number since it may be a bounce??? What Leslie decided to shoot is also going to depend on how much she can monitor.
