What type of BG monitor have you found to be the best and the easiest to use with PZI? Hank and I are both a little nervous about this. I previously had a diabetic cat that I was able to give a good life for 6 years after diagnosis but never used a monitor. Hank is a much more compliant cat so I am willing to try but would like to buy the one that requires the least skills. fosterhcats
 
Lots of people here like the ReliOn meters from Walmart. They are the cheapest and have the cheapest strips. (The strips are what are expensive, not the meter) It doesn't really matter as long as you get a meter that sips and needs a small amount of blood. I got a great deal on a brand name meter - Precisions Xtra (Paid nothing for the meter, just for the strips when first purchased) But then I had to get my strips from Ebay. They were almost $1 a strip in the store, but about 30 cents each on ebay.
