BG at 61 at +4

Hey everyone,

I just checked Marbles BG at +4 and she is at 61. Is that too low for +4? She just ate .8oz of FF at +2 and .6oz at +4. I am going to check her again at +5, but should I do anything else right now? I am prepared with Karo and high carb wet food if she is too low at +5. This is the lowest she has ever tested, so I'm really nervous even though I know I don't treat as hypo until she is under 50.

Hi Jenny,

Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with Prozinc. I believe the nadir is usually between +4 to +6, right? If I'm right about that, I would probably recommend testing in about 30 minutes (+4.5).

Yes, my name is Jenny. :-)

Her BG is at 68 now at +5. So, she is about the same. I am supposed to go somewhere this afternoon - is it okay to leave her with food out?
 
That's great that she's holding steady. I wish I could help you on whether it's safe to leave. I'm just not familiar enough with Prozinc, and we don't have enough test data yet to be able to see her typical patterns. She may have already hit nadir and is now on her way back up, or nadir may still be yet to come.

If you do decide to leave, definitely make sure you leave lots of food out for her.
 
Thanks! I am going to leave food out for her when I leave the house and maybe test one more time if she will let me. I am happy that she seems to be holding steady or possibly going up.

I wish I had more info on her BG numbers right now. I am doing a BG curve either tomorrow or Monday, so that should help me in the future as well.
