So today I started CBD. This morning before breakfast I tested Neptune and his BG was 330. I gave him his food and 10 units of insulin and I started his Cabergoline.( .7 ml dose) Per the vet I checked his BG again about 5 hours after and his BG was 133. Holy moly! I honestly didn’t think it would work so fast! My concern is this…I typically give him his dinner injection at 3 pm. If his BG hasn’t elevated, what dosage of insulin should I give?

Cabergoline does not work that fast. Your spreadsheet is not up to date. Please update it with the tests you have done in the last two weeks. I have no idea how low the 10 units normally takes Neptune and whether 133 is normal for him or not at that dose of insulin.

How many micrograms is that? How much does Neptune weight? A standard dose is 10mcg/kg body weight.
It took about 6 months to see ant effect of cabergoline for my Snuffles.
The 133 was an off number. I figured it was a fluke but thought I would ask for help. He hasn’t been that low since. He gets .7ml or 700 mcg every other day. He weighs 15lbs. I started him on 11/5/2023 so it’s only been a week.
15 lbs is just under 7 kg (6.8). He should be getting 70 mcg - not 700.
Please make sure you are testing BG frequently, we've seen a couple cats show drastic improvement in 7-10 days, though it really does vary and can take months.

I miscalculated as the only dosage given was .7 ml every other day. The dosage is 100 mcg/1ml. Sorry, I tried to do math that I’m not good at. Yes I am checking his BG several times a day. Thanks.
