BG 53 - gave karo syrup & 20% cat FF

Hi all...

Anything else I should do? She was walking around when I got home, but noticed she went up the stairs one at a time.

Left message for vet but did not get a call back.

She ate 45 minutes ago...some karo applied to gums maybe 20 minutes ago. She is curled up in her bed and I am sitting with her.

Any advice?

Test again 20 minutes after giving the food and Karo to see if she is coming up. Post result please

Hi Jill, can you test one or two other times to make sure Pansy is safe and numbers are on the increase? Once the food and karo wear off, you don't want numbers to go down again!

I am so tired..Will try to do one more before bed.

What about leaving food out all night? Should it be high carb or regular low carb?

FYI I'll be around off and on for another half hour or so -- west coast time but need my sleep, Catcat starts trying to wake me at 5 AM

usual LC would be fine to leave out, my opinion, but I'm still relatively new at this, happy to be corrected

@Jill & Pansy Panini it is fine to post on both forums to get attention if you have an emergency, which you did. I just mentioned that the other thread was getting responses and replies from you. Once that happens it is easier to just use the one thread otherwise it gets confusing and if anyone wanted to add information from the Lantus forum they could go over to the main health thread once alerted.

At 9:30 she was 154
Is Pansy safe if I leave food out?

Is Pansy safe if I leave food out?

Well, she is going down again so I am not sure. Can you wake up in an hour and test again? Leaving food out an option but I would personally monitor close after this episode, just to make sure there’s no drop coming up.
