Buddy went to 30 at +3 today. Was waking out the door for work, had to cancel my appt to stay with him.
gave lots of karo, went to 178 within an hour.
wow-what a scary day. I went from 1.5u to 1.25u tonight-- is this too much of a dose reduction?

No, I would stay with the reduction and just let things settle for a day or two (or three). The karo is going to affect tonights spot checks and probably tomorrow morning's preshot numbers too. It would be good if you could get a mid-cycle check tomorrow. :)

I have to ask...did he get enough to eat before this cycle when he went low? That is a big drop in such a short amount of time.

And good for you for getting followup checks and knowing what to do! :)

P.S. what happened to your spreadsheet? I think we are all 'colorblind' around here! Do you need help to get it color-coded again?

Good thing you caught it. 1.25u should be good - but as Pamela said, let it settle (unless he drops low again).

With the colors, that happened to me and I found that when I added rows toward the end of a long page for some reason the "rules" didn't apply to them. I went back up to where things were correct and selected all the rows/columns all the way down including a few rows with the correct colors at the top of the selection, then go to 'Format', 'Conditional Formatting' and, without changing anything, click on apply. When you go into "format/conditional formatting" you should see your correct color rules in the page that opens. I guess if the correct colors are not there, just cancel so you don't mess things up further.

Thanks for yuor help-seems like 1.25 u is the way to go-in fact, it's +4 and he's at 105 and i need to leave . thinking I should cancel my plans :( because I know he'll only go down from here.
Will try to follow your directions Sheila for the SS color to come back.
Pamela -how did the insulin work out?

Marci, I need to ask you again since I keep wondering, is he just not getting enough to eat for breakfast on these days that he all of a sudden drops low?

Regarding the insulin, look at Lynda and Scruffy post here on Lev ISG from yesterday.

So how was he when you got home today or did you have to cancel your plans. :(

Buddy always eats at shot time . however, when he is regulated he eats half
(3-4 oz. per day) of what he eats when he is not (7-8oz.per day).
not much i can do about that. today i left for 2 hours because he went up
from green to 178 in less than 50 minutes.(with 2 oz, FFhc) hope he
won't be too effected at pmps tonight. thanks for asking Pamela .
PS- happy to hear it worked out with the insulin and that Linda and
Scruffy will also benefit.
