Squallie's BG was low today, it's 200 for his PMPS test. He usually gets 2 units, but I'm afraid to give him that much tonight. Should I give him maybe 1 unit, or even less?

Well there's never a guarantee, but I'd think 1 U would be safe, but my concern is "is it enough?"

2 units took him pretty low today (but not TOO low), but I wonder if 1 is enough....If you have all the supplies you need and can test tonight, I wonder if 1.5 might be better.

Yes to the supplies and yes to being able to check him through the night. I wasn't certain 1 unit was enough, either. I think I will go ahead with 1.25 or 1.5 units. He's on Vetsulin and it seems to give him a very sharp drop fairly early into the cycle, most times.

Yeah, I'm no expert in Vetsulin, that's for sure. We have used Lantus since we started, but I knew you needed someone to bounce idea's off of, so figured I'd try to help!

And I really appreciate it, more than you know! I'm still new at this sugardance and I tend to second-guess myself when I shouldn't; any help is always good thing. Thanks! :)

I ended up giving him 1.25 units, will check him through the night to make sure he doesn't go too low. :nailbiting:
