Hi everyone. Amethyst has been on Gabapentin for 3 years now. I feel it is not helping her at all. I was wondering what another good choice would be??? It has to be an injectable or liquid, because she spits pills out:arghh: Thank you:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I was using Glucosamine Plus for Pets from Vitamin World. I would open the capsule and sprinkle some of the powder on their food. It expired 1/19 and I tried to use it a few days ago, but the cats wouldn't eat the food. I'm not sure if it ever worked or not. I'll try some of your recommendations for my 2 senior ladies.

My kitties don't seem to mind bonita flakes on their food. I still have 2 bottles of Azmira Holistic Animal Care in my fridge. It's a liquid and they don't seem to mind a couple drops on their food. Oh hey! I just read the label and it's made here in Tucson! One is Yucca Intensive and the bottle my friend gave me is called Kidni Flow and contains a bunch of herbs. I used to use L-lysine once, but there is one ingredient that you can't give cats in some formulations. Looking through my cabinet, I found Zobaline for Diabetic Cats with an expiration date of 1/2020, so I think I'll use that up, and Zychrome, which I haven't even opened, expiration date 12/18. It's made from chromium and it doesn't say if it's for pets or humans. Any advise on these?

Hi Elizabeth:bighug::bighug::bighug: Thank you Adequan would be great BUT I can not afford it:(:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

The bottles last longer than the manufacturer says. My cat Emily's first bottle lasted 3 months or so? It's a small dose, so one bottle lasts quite a while. And after you get past the loading doses, the bottle lasts even longer. Emily's been on it since March and we're still working through her second bottle; and her maintenance dose is twice a month while most cats do once a month for maintenance.

It's been very helpful for her.

Are they safe past expiration? I used mine a year and didn't realize it expired in July so had to scramble for a new vial.
