Best diet for weight loss

Hi, nice to be part of a community that takes feline diabetes seriously. Our overweight feline is at 6.7kgm and on a 1u does twice a day on Optisulin pen. She has dropped from 7.4kgm but very very slowly. My main aim is weight loss. She used to like raw meat - but now we have her on various configurations of wet and dry Vet foods. Would I be correct to assume that a fresh raw meat diet is better than any commercial product for weight loss in a diabetic feline.
We monitor her occasionally using Freestyle Libre 2 sensor. At the moment on 1U twice a day she is always in the green range (4mmol to 9mmol). cheers
 
A high protein low carb diet is best for cats with fd. F always green I suggest you monitor daily with preshot tests and a curve at least weekly. We suggest not feeding dry food and no reason fir a vet formula for fd as there’s no magic there and many are too high in carbs. Sounds like your cat has a good chance at becoming diet controlled.
