Bent the needle

:o Loki got his dose this morning but I bent the needle, no sign of having hurt him but I wonder if this has happened to others? I feel terrible :cry:
 
It happens.
Figure out how it happened and adjust accordingly.
ex:
Did the cat move? You may need to modify how you hold or restrain him.
Was your angle of entry too steep? Make sure to tent the skin enough and go in at approximately half the angle between the body and the upper edge of the tent - sort of like this '<-'
 
If it makes you feel any better, I did fertility treatments & used insulin syringes for many of the injections...and bent more than 1 needle in myself, and it doesn't hurt. They're thin needles & bend easily, especially the higher the gauge. Now, a 22-gauge needle, THAT hurts! :lol:
 
I've done it more than once, when Ru decided to take off in the middle of the shot. It happens less with the shorter needles, though.
These things are so thin, its harder to NOT bend them than it is to bend them.
 
That is cuz you are a great mommabean!
I have bent a few before I even got them out of the vial!
