Benjamin's numbers are much higher today. Since I'm still so new to this, I was wondering if someone would take a look at his spreadsheet and hopefully give me a clue to what is going on. The only thing different today was that he got the 2nd half of his breakfast a little early, I suspect it has more to do with all the previous jumping around on his doses catching up with him. Thanks!

Hi Cindy,
Although it's impossible to know for sure, Benjamin may have had a lower number sometime overnight that caused him to "bounce" to the higher numbers today. It does take time for a dose to "settle", and the dose adjusting over the first few days might have something to do with it. I think you should leave the dose at 1u for 2 or 3 more cycles, see what sort of numbers you get, then it will be evident if the dose needs to be changed. Patience isn't easy, but this "sugardance" does require large amounts of patience at times...

Thanks, Carl. Yes, I should have gotten numbers last night, but was dealing with a sick dog so I didn't test Benjamin. I will definitely stick with the 1u and see how it goes. I should be able to at least get another test or 2 done tonight.

Hi Cindy,
Don't worry when you miss chances to test. Just always make sure to test before each and every shot, and the rest of them, get them as you can. Sick dog, not feeling good yourself, whatever....there's all sorts of "other things" that are going to come up and nobody can just keep doing this and not have "life" get in the way. Taking care of you is critical, or you won't be able to take care of your furries.
