Oh Boy! With a probable green surf from +4 to +9, I'm a little concerned about his PMPS which is in 2 hours. Possible PM Hypo or possible PM Bounce??
I'm asking in preparedness, if he is 150 or below would you give the full 4.5u or lower the dose????
 
According to protocol, Bear has earned a reduction back to 4.25u given the low BG of 43 earlier today so I think what you do tonight is dependent on what you are willing and able to handle and monitor. You've had a busy and stressful day so if you need to take a break that's Ok. Let's see what he does from here. The lowest you've shot before is 192. If you can monitor, then shooting 4.25u at 150 is an option. Remember you can always stall to see if his BG is rising on it's own. I'd wait and see where he's at before making any definitive decisions.
 
He is on his way up. On this forum, we suggest that when you get your first below 150 preshot, you do not feed, and post for help. Above that SHOOOOT the 4.25! You can always get a +11.5 if you need the time to ponder.

One technique to keep in your back pocket for next time, is something we call shooting through the bounce. Which it looks like you did on the spreadsheet. What you do is after a reduction you shoot the higher dose one time only, to help with the bounce, before shooting the reduced dose the following cycle.

So let me lay this out to make sure I understand this technique:

Bear had an increase and because he went lower than 50BG and he earned a reduction.

Instead of taking the reduction you give the same dose, to shoot through the bounce.

The next shot you the reduction?
 
Yes, it’s a one time only that you keep the old dose. Note that this techque only works if kitty takes a while to clear bounces.
