I just brought Baxter home from a vet visit.
His BG @ 6:00pm-254
I was going to feed him & give him his shot.
Should I wait a little longer to see if it will drop? Then shot off of that # instead?

Here are his #s for today,
8:00-183
2:00-98
6:00-254

The rest of his SS is updated other then today.
Thank you.

I'd be tempted to stay with the .25u (more or less overlooking the vet induced BG). His other numbers are looking great on the .25u.

New here, but in agreement with Teresa. I probably would have gone with .25U as I'm fairly sure the BG you have is vet induced stress.

You shot a .25 this morning?

Either way works, IMO. Yes, he's in the 250's now, which might be vet stress, but he was at 219 earlier, and I assume that was prior to the vet trip? Is 200 your line in the sand where you decide between .25 and .5?
Carl

I decided to wait awhile to feed him & test him again.
I was kind of hoping his bg would come down some.
This was my first after vet test. His BG jumped a lot between 2:00pm & 6:00pm.
His test @ 8:00-285. I gave him .50.

My line in the sand is about 170-.25
Anything higher gets .50.

Thank you for all your help.
