Baxter has good PS in the morning, but just rises throughout the day as if I didn't give any insulin. I haven't given fur shots so I can mark that off. Then his PMPS is high. I have talked the his vet which was absolutely no help. He couldnt seem to give me any answers or suggestions.
Is it to much insulin? Is it not enough?
Even on 1 unit I only caught a upper blue.

I am opening the new bottle tonight. My other bottle is right at 6 months old with a months or more left in it.

It seems the harder I try the more out of control Baxters numbers are. @-)

Jenn, I am right there with you. That's exactly how I feel about Linus.

I'll hang in there if you will. confused_cat

You haven't made him a new poster yet!

That specific cycle looks like not enough juice, but let me peruse the SS...

Carl

Hmmm.... I think not. Look at what .7 did on the 12th. And that night, what .6 did. It was enough juice then, and that was just a week ago. This is just an off cycle. He's been responding to doses lately, just not today.

Carl

Do you think I should hold off on the new bottle? I'm going to be around all weekend.

I start work on Monday 9-4 are my hours.

I would start the new bottle, Jenn. Better to do that now in case you do see a difference in potency, than later when it might not be as convenient.

Carl

PMPS-303

Since it will be the first shot out of the new bottle any suggestions on the dose?

Robin suggested in yesterday's post for me to use the first sliding scale dosing. I have done that +some increase on the 300's. The original scale says 300-349-.7.
I have been doing 300-349-1unit.

I think I would go for it and try 1u. Get his attention?

Carl

Carl I was scared...I guess I need to build up some trust in the new bottle.
I went with .7.
My vet told me I wouldn't see any change in numbers with a new bottle. I should have went with 1u. Oh....there is always tomorrow. Because Baxter is NEVER going into remission.

Certain words don't exist here, Jenn.

"Never" and "always" are two of them. Actually .7 is fine. Just compare it to a .7 dose from the old bottle and see if anything changes.

Carl

Jenn I'll lend you my BOS ... hang in there this is just a tough run for a few of us - the kids will come around and start responding correctly.

Thank you! I have noticed there a few little kitties here in the family that aren't behaving like they need to be. I had a long talk with Baxter today. We will see if it did any good.

The look on Baxter's face during the "talk"

The look Baxter gives you when you finish the "talk" ;-)

The look after you leave the room

Maybe, just maybe, I'm mistaken.... but I know those looks all too well!!!

I'm with you on the control thing. Seems like when i don't worry so much about the numbers and just shoot without thinking too much, he does good. Don't get it either!!!

Here's to a good cycle to come!

I won't ever get it.
New bottle Numbers coming up soon.

I wonder if I'll have a few weeks of good numbers on Lev before the insulin resistance realizes it's an insulin?
