Going to recap.
I start start work on Monday after not working for 5 yrs. last week started the new sliding scale. Have seen much improvement in Baxters numbers just more consistent PS #s. I think right would be the time for me to increase & bust out the new bottle since I am home & will be able to test.
Last Night this was Baxters numbers.
5/16:
PMPS-327-1u skinny.
+2.5-276
+8.5-235
+12-184<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>Finally!!

Now I am not sure what to give. @-) My scale says .3, but I talked about a increase to the scale last night in my post.

Hope everyone has a good day.
I will update Baxters ss this morning.

Did I misunderstand or did Carl suggest leaving the scale for lower numbers? Not sure if that would have impacted your last cycle.

I'm not clear, Jenn. Did you start the new vial last cycle and the new dosing or just one of those? If both, I would be cautious until you get more numbers.

Carl said he thought he would leave the lower part alone.

I didn't start the new vial yet. I wanted to do one or the other. I chose the increase first because I still have some left in the older bottle.

Last night I gave him 1u. Which gave us the 184. I gave him .4 this morning.

Good plan! Would have been hard with two changes. So the new dose worked well. The 184 is not a bad preshot - just a little low - so the one unit may have been a good dose for your number last night. I think it depends on how low he went overnight. Today should tell you more.

I bet we can get this figured out before you start to work so he is doing well and is safe and you feel okay leaving him.

It'll just be an adjustment for you both, Jenn. The vast majority of people here work full time and their cats are fine. They have tricks that help them manage it and stay sane. Maybe a post on Health asking for tips will give you ideas and help make you feel better.

Carl said he thought he would leave the lower part alone.

My logic was that the parts of the scale you haven't used haven't been evaluated to see if they are good doses for those numbers. I'm a big believer in "show me".... my daughter lives in Missouri, it must have rubbed off

But first off, gutsy on the 1u last night! And I wanna know what the .4 did...

Carl

of course it didn't do a flippin thing! Murphy's Cat Laws.

I'm thinking it was a reaction to the long cycle and drop to 184. His nadir was late, and not sure how low, and the 184 may have been just barely or just recently rising.

But (I know, we say it a lot), it's just one number, one cycle. Focus on PMPS and forward. The data you got today will be useful next week.

Carl

It ran long last night and gave you a difficult to shoot number this morning. But that doesn't mean it will happen again. I think it's worth a try.
He looks to have had plenty of room to drop if it had acted like a normal cycle with a nadir at +6.

Hi Jenn,
You are doing great with Baxter, I know how hard it must be going back to work and leaving Baxter
but dont worry, you will figure out a routine that works....and he will be fine

my input on the dose...love what the one unit did for Baxter, but I am thinking that the .4 was too much
of a reduction...But at least yo know for the next time...maybe try .6 instead and see what that does

Hang in there!

Of course, he "Always Keeps [you] Guessing" - that's his job, Dahling... :-D

You're doing super at rolling with the punches. I know you're worried about going back to work...worried about Baxter. Honestly, I'm more worried about your husband who will have to adjust to you not having as much time to take care of everything. Baxter will be great!

Sorry I haven't been around much, but life keeps calling. Tonight is prom and we're going out for a rare evening (can't remember the last time) with friends to celebrate our anniversary (tomorrow). Then, Jessica starts summer classes on Monday...what happened to those lazy days of summer?! :YMSIGH:

Take care -

Libby (and Hershey, too!)

Hi Jenn,

I've been away but will be more available after this weekend.

I havn't looked but if I remember, we went back to a scale before the last scale where he seemed to be doing well, the last scale after that one was more aggressive so if you want to use that scale and go from there it might jump start something.
