This morning I said I'm going for it! :twisted:
I thought about all the past opportunities & I passed them by because of fear or whatever reason. I thought maybe the "big man" gave me those opportunities for a reason & I just didn't take them. This morning I looked at it as another opportunity so I went for it. I have been doing the same thing expecting a different result. I have tried to catch 200 a couple of times & it didn't work. Don't get me wrong I was a little scared. I prayed over the needle after I drew it. I prayed over Baxter before giving it to him. I thought I will never know if I don't try. That's just my thinking so it might not work others.

So here we are...

Jsut rfom my experience with Shakes
when I shoot into a low number like that
he will not react in that cycle, but will through me off in the 2nd cycle
so just keep an eye out tonight

This is not all what I expected....
I'm not sure what to do tonight?
I don't think I want to chace 200 & get thrown off schedule. Wednesday I won't be here in case I have give insulin in the afternoon.
I really think I should give him something. Am I going crazy?

If you feel like you could be up for testing tonight, I would try it again. Go .2, if he doesn't move again you at least know to hit him a little harder next time!
 
I just tested him again. It's been about 30 minutes since food.
He is now at 210. I don't know if that's food talking or what.

I think I'm going with .2. He tends to go lower at night.
 
You guys just waking up from that party? We came over today & cleaned up... :lol: Found a catnip mouse under the table....surprise it was Grayson's. :lol:

I was going over his SS to look at past...no consistency. The doses have been so random. I guess that's the way it's suppose to be on a sliding scale?

I'm going with .2 fat.
 
No, unfortunately it's been a long day, started waking up just for a few minute at 5am to watch Mya since the board is pretty dead when she gets her shot. Then back to bed for a couple hours and then off to my ::fun:: job for 11 hours. Just got home, so I'm still here.....just had to work. :roll:

Good for you, I have a feeling if you can get him surfing the greens a couple times you're gonna be really happy.
 
Nothing yet. I haven't tested him yet. It's going on 2 hrs. So I will test him in a bit.

I'm getting the look from Ms. Kitten, she wants me to go to bed so I'll take off my fleece robe and put it on the sofa so she can fur the crap out of it. :roll:

My guys draw straws to see who gets the robe if I leave it on the bathroom countertop! But when I have it on - Reggie says "She's MINE!" I think he's referring to the robe, not me, however, because he'll ONLY dance w/ me if I have the robe on. Anything else, nope!

Fingers crossed here, hoping he gets going a little...seems strange that he just isn't budging for you...but at least staying in the blues is awesome regardless!!!

Going to give in to the fleece monster.

Lu, no drawing straws here...if Kitten finds Hobie in or on anything she wants, she just punches him in the face and problem solved!

His shot time is 3am, so I'll be up a little before that. Sure hope the next cycle is better. Maybe I should send subliminal messages...feed him from a green bowl or something ;-)
 
Still up but fading soon. Always entertained to see dog Jack and cat Paulo spooning in the little dog bed! Everyone else is crashed too.

Stopped in to check on y'all. It's 3:13am here. Not sure what time is your shot time or even which time zone you're in...guess I should look that up...when my eyes aren't so tired ;-)

He may surprise you and not rise that much more; we never know. And, even if he hits 200 - it's just one cycle, right? Hershey was at (351) AMPS and came down to a pretty (189) by +6, convincing me there are a LOT of things I don't know.

Hang in there - you're doing great!!
