Baxter & I are having problems the morning.
My little problem with Baxter this morning is...I already gave him his shot & he won't eat hardly any of his food. I let him eat out of the spoon (he likes that...), but didn't want much. I have tried & tried. Is he going to be alright? AMPS=234-.3
This is Baxters problem it's getting ready to storm. Well it's just started. It so windy & raining hard. He is now in hiding. He hates the rain. It is suppose to be like this all day.

Last night the wind was blowing so hard it knocked out the electricity for a couple of hours. I was a little freaked out because Baxter was +4=106. I couldn't get on line & I was testing him by a flash light. :-Q Out of all the times...Geezz. I asked myself can I catch a break here? I stayed up til 3:30am. Which was hard because I didn't have anything to help me stay up. I am a little sleepy & my head hurts because of it. I-)

Alright I'm going to stop there.

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Re: Baxter-3/20-A Little Problem

Nice cycle last night. Did he see a green after the +4?.

Sorry about the storms, we were having them here too last night but no damage or power outage.

I hope he eats for you soon, keep coaxing him.

Have a great day.

Nope no green. 106 was the lowest. I will up date his SS in a bit.

He is in his hiding spot & just wants to go to sleep now. Of coarse...he stayed up all night acting like the wind was out to get him. @-) bcatrun_gif
I will keep trying with the food.

Re: Baxter-3/20-A Little Problem

You should build him a storm shelter! Ms. Kitten recommends a box lined with fleece.

Do you have/know of any low carb food that he can't resist? Even something pricey-er than normal food....just keep a little around for situations like this.

Funny you should say that..I have been telling my DH we need to build him a fancy house out back.
Baxters shelter is a guest closet with the door barely cracked in case he wants to get out. I always wondered what he did before he came to live with me. Makes me sad. It storms a lot in Houston in the Spring.

I have some emergency need to eat low carb food. He also loves raw chicken & I always have that in the freezer. I know it doesn't have the vitamins, but would get me by through one feeding.

*I tried to post a link. When I tried the first one it took you to a bunch of naughty girls pics.. :o
Then I tried again & it took you to a blog about some boring crap.

I was try to post a picture of luxury dog mansions. I want one for Baxter.

Re: Baxter-3/20-A Little Problem

I tried his food again...He ate more. I spoon fed him. Meaning he eats it off the spoon. I get a big scoop & he takes bites off the scoop or he licks it. Sometimes this cat is like a baby @-). I don't have kids so I guess this is what it's like. I love him so much so it's ok.

AMPS=234-.3
+6=178
+10=269

I have noticed he starting to urinate more. Usually, 2x during the night. He has already gone 2x this afternoon.
He is begging for food already & dinner is still 1.5 hrs away.
He has been so off eating today because of the rain. He came out of hiding around 12pm & ate more of his breakfast then I caught him around 2pm eating the rest.
Why is +10 already so high?

You can adjust the scale up .1u or down .1u according to your PS numbers.

We've seen that the scale is a good fit so if you are feeling bold and want to see a green go up .1u and test the cycle to make sure he is safe.

If you get unshootable PS's drop down .1u, if he's running flatter go up .1u. You are at the steering wheel.

PMPS=294-.4
I am giving him .4. His BG is so high. Darn it after having such a good week last week. I really thought we were getting to a good place. Just goes to show nothing can be the same 2 weeks in a row for us. :-x

I would only adjust by .1u at a time. Baxter seems more sensative to doses over .4u, I don't think I would dose more than that unless something drastic happens.

After I typed .6. I thought I shouldn't do that. It would be 1/2 increase...thats to much.
I stuck with .4.
Thanks for you help.

Thank you so much!
I hope he does too. I hope I can wake up in the middle of the night to test him. I have to get up @ 5:30am tomorrow. Tomorrow is our early day he gets his shot @ 7am & no testing all day. DH comes home @ 12, but doesn't test him. He checks to make sure he isn't foaming at the mouth, walking funny or anything like that. DH is like the vet doesn't think I need to test him so much. He thinks it's mean....I have tried hundreds times to explain it to him. @-)
