HE IS HERE....MR.P IS HERE! :o I just woke up to find him visiting Baxter.

What do I do? How do I trap this strange guy?

I am trying to get Baxter back on his 8 & 8 schedule. Should I hold off on feeding him right now? It's almost 8am here. I know I can't give him insulin. What do I do?

HELP I DON'T WANT MR.P TO LEAVE!!

How long can you hold off before shooting? Test in 30 and see if you have any real movement. Yay....maybe I should go check Kitten....I'm thinking Mr. P must've hired some help.

What is your day like, Jen? Can you work with a schedule if you have to wait 2 hours?

If you feed him, you have the chance to see if his numbers go down, not up. Good indication about the pancreas. But that leaves you chasing the numbers for a while. (As with Kim, you will be waiting to find a number you can shoot)

If you wait to feed, you still might not get a number you can shoot for awhile.

Depends on what kind of time you have....

Nothing going on today for me. I am stocked on supplies so I can test.

Baxter is getting a little upset. He doesn't understand why I didn't give him food after his first test.
I am going to test him again. It's been over 30 minutes since the last test & I will give him his food.

So when should I test again? I know in about 1 hr he will be food high if he is going up.

Baxter is like clock work.

I could always tell at the 30 minute mark, but don't know if that's the ECID thing. I think most cats start seeing the food hit in 30-45.

I have NEVER seen this many cats in PZI getting these types of results!!! They must have thrown a little extra something in the last batch of Prozinc!

Have you tested again?

Oh, a by the way......I am happy for YOU and Baxter!

I'd say he didn't get a jump out of the food, which is good and should mean a little pancreas help. He didn't go down, so not as much participation from Mr. P as could be.

Kim's recent threads will give you her thoughts about shooting or not shooting. The biggest decision is usually deciding whether you want to wait till 200 or shoot at a lower number. Either way, reducing the dose and monitoring, being ready to intervene if needed.

I am not going to wait this time for him to reach 200. I have done that in the past. I have said to myself if it happens again I am shooting. A small dose. As soon as I know he isn't dropping I am doing it. I am not going to let fear stop me this time.

I dont understand why Mr.P wouldnt want to stay around my house. I have a nice guest room. The house is always quite. I have food in the pantry. I really need him to stay. Actually, I need him to move in.

This is what I am thinking....I am throwing myself out there. So I might have a 911 by this post later today.
I am thinking just as soon as he hits 175 I am going in with syringe-a-loaded...probably with .3. Going in small this time around.
What do you think?

Going to get +16 test now.

DARN IT....MR.P LEFT! ohmygod_smile

New plan...going in with .5 loaded.

Be on the watch for MR.P because he is on the loose. If he shows up at your house send him BACK!

Wow - this is great news Jenn!

Last week the full moon and all the hypos; this week all the great numbers and surfing w/ Mr. P! Life is good!!!

Happy dance here at the Sneakers residence for a furry friend!

Time for me to give her a shot and go bowling. Last night of the season!!!

Not sure what to do...it's almost his dinner time, he is begging & crying for food. I gave him his shot at 10am. I know I can't wait til 10pm to feed him.

Advice please...

We are almost @ +12. Baxter is @ 148. The food is picked up. It's been almost 3 hrs since food. So here we go again...

Ok so the first thing you need to do is shave a .1u off of each step of the scale.

I guess after that you wait it out, what does your schedule look like tomorrow?

Free all day tomorrow.
Ok so if he gets to 175 I should give him .2 which is .5-u-100? I know I could be up all night checking/testing him.

You shot .2u into a 229 this morning so it's your choice if you want to shoot the same dose into a lower number, I could give you lower numbers overall.

Ok Im scared now...I guess cause its at night. If I give him less then how much is that? The smallest on the chart is .2. Is it considered just drops?

He keeps going down.

Mr.P must think my front door is revolving. He keeps coming & going as he pleases. I am about to chain the front door up so he can't leave. He needs to realize this is his home now.
