No green for Baxter last night  Well it could have happen I just didn't get to see it. I woke up at 5am which is +9-194?
This morning doesn't look bad...

AMPS-230-.3

Hoping every kitty has pretty numbers today! :-D

Re: Baxter-2/27

I posted the well-known phrase 'it's just one cycle' on your other thread. But, I tell ya' (194) at +9 still looks good to me!! (Shucks - STILL can't whistle ;-) )

Re: Baxter-2/27

I think I've said it before, but I really love how consistent Baxter is. Unlike my little maniac. ;-) Even if you're not seeing a lot of green he is so well regulated. That's something to be very proud of! But I will root for him to go green a little more often for you!

Re: Baxter-2/27

Tonight is our 30 minutes early night. Because I have to give him insulin @ 7am not 8am tomorrow.

Here it is...
PMPS=242

Re: Baxter-2/27

I know my sliding scale says to give .4 @ 242. Should I do that or stick with .3? I won't be able to get up in the middle of the night. Tomorrow is my early day.

Ok thank you.
I went with the lower .3 & will do the same in the morning...depending on AMPS. I won't be able to check him until +8 tomorrow. DH comes home to check on him but doesn't test him. He isn't trained properly.

I was squeamish about testing at first, too. Doug would test Hershey and I would sit holding my breath with eyes closed tightly. Then, one night I was home alone with Hershey and he started acting like he really wasn't himself. I was so afraid that there was something up with his numbers (or down with his numbers) and I couldn't help him not having a clue even what his BG was. I decided that night - that was IT - I would NOT be home alone with him and feel that helpless. He was/is dependent on me and I needed to get over it - so, I got Doug to teach me how to test. Now, I don't always get it first try, but Hershey is usually patient and gives me another try.

So, I kind of understand his fear of hurting Baxter. But, thinking you test too much. That's what I thought about Doug initially. He was like a kid with a new toy!!! I had to reel him back in a little ;-)

I hope your honey will warm up to the idea of testing soon -

+6-123 he's doing good.

Surprised I'm a wake? Well I am...set the alarm. Oh my eyes are sleepy. Going back to sleep. Be back around 6:30am.

That's a nice looking +6! Keep forgetting to check the difference from me to you...it's almost 3am here, shot time!

Goodnight....
