Are your kitties bathing more since getting insulin shots? Ben is bathing more, he is wet many times when I pick him up. There are NO balding spots. Maybe just being bothered my all the pokes? He was getting brushed every day when shedding season started, now with shedding going down it's 2-3 times/week. I had a kitty with hyperesthesia that did a lot of licking on his spine, this is not the same. It's usually one side or the other. Maybe that I am noticing more since I pick him up more?

Yes, you could be noticing more just because you're handling more often.

I remember the first time after starting insulin that I noticed China was grooming and I realized that I hadn't seen her groom for a long time! It was so nice to see because I knew it meant she was feeling better!

My Old Groovy cat with feline CRF never did get back his beautiful (tabby) coat. But, he was 20 dealing with kidney failure.
My kitties have always been "euw I smell like mom, need a bath". I guess as much as I'm handling him it takes a lot of
grooming to get the Mommy smell off

THANKS ALL! I like to check when something seems different. I was foster mom for a huge black cat named KING.
He would stress groom but became bald in areas. We a spray to help settle. He was much better after that.
