Bah on Friskies!

I absolutely cannot give my cat Friskies of any kind. It brings his urine problem to the surface again. He is very fussy - won't eat Fancy Feast or Wysong so it is 9 Lives or order something else over the internet. I made the mistake of buying Friskies brand last time but never again. Has anyone else noticed that problem with that brand?

I haven't had any trouble with Friskies, but I do know every cat is different. My cat liked Sheba pates when we needed a change - I can get them at my grocery store.

Teasel gets Friskies and Fancy Feast mixed into his wet DM prescription food to change up the flavour. He loves either one and there haven't been any urinary issues. He spent a very long time before the diabetes diagnosis eating wet Urinary S/O food because of frequent bouts of cystitis. Total food change since his diagnosis hasn't caused any problems in over 8 months. I also add extra warm water to every meal.

I live in a small community where the choice of pet foods is very limited. I'm thinking of buying on-line and that way I can have more choices. Our local Wal Mart and Safeway are very limited in their choices of cat food.

Friskies Pates are 8 or more carbs. If your cat is carb sensitive that may be enough to raise his BG and thus increase the signs of diabetes(if you're home testing, you'll know for sure). My cat is carb sensitive and I use Friskies when he's in double digits to bring him up. Does your Walmart have Sheba? If you buy online, https://www.chewy.com has great selection, prices & customer service.

I'll get some of the Sheba on-line and see how that goes. Thanks for the suggestion.

See if they have them at Walmart first so you'll know if he'll eat it. Smaller Walmarts often have the Sheba Perfect Portions, which is the same thing as the cans but in smaller containers and more expensive. Also if there is a Dollar General nearby, they carry it.

Our WalMart and Dollar General don't have it because I've looked at their brands. It seems to me Dollar General has something called "Ever Pet" and I have bought it some.

Can you buy site to store on walmart.com? Order it and pay online- then have it delivered to your walmart?
