Bagheera's 6/22 Blood Sugar Readings

Hi, everyone. It has been a few days but I wanted to share with you my blood sugar readings for last week.

Does anyone besides me notice that when the insulin gets down to the end, it is not as potent? it seems like when it's in the neck of the bottle, it does not work as well.

The human is investigating the crunchies you recommended, but they are expensive and he is worried that I might not eat them. What would you suggest?

Levemir is only guaranteed to be potent for 45 days by manufacturer. Most of us find we get about 3 months out of it before it weaken which is why we use the flexpens instead of vials. With the pens and syringe I can usually use the entire pen but with a vial I only use about half before it dies.

You already know my recommendation. Feed wet only.

Yep, same here. I agree with Mel - no dry food will ever be good for a cat, only wet. I have transitioned six cats off of dry food now - some were very stubborn and difficult but it had to be done.
