It's not ketone (sp?) Thank God. He hasn't eaten in two days because he has a respitory infection and a sore throat and a little fever. She Gave me antibiotics a string to feed him and pepsin ac. Im only giving him a half dose of insulin for awhile. Thanks everyone
 
I'm so glad it wasn't a ketone problem but sorry that your little sweetheart has a URI, fever and sore throat. I hope the antibiotics will work quickly. My Noodle had a URI not long ago and because his nose was stuffed up, he couldn't smell and wouldn't eat so I hand-fed him his favorite foods for awhile. He really loved Gerber all meat baby food :smile: Paws crossed for a speedy recovery!

Thank goodness, I hope he starts eating soon. I would offer him anything he wants to eat. He has to eat especially if he is taking antibiotics. Sometimes they can upset the stomach.

What good news! I hope you can get him back eating and feeling better. If I were you, I would pick up some ketone strips and start trsting him for ketones daily. He has the prerequisites - not eating well and an infection. With testing, you can catch it early if he starts to get ill.
