Is it only me, or do some of you "average"? I do this sometimes. For example, I just tested Gobbles' PMPS and got 497, so I re-tested using the same drop of blood, and got 450. Therefore, on my SS you will see"473" which is the average of the two...

I do sometimes but I don't usually retest that much unless it looks really wonky. Btw your signature link is broken and not working...?

I never do. I don't see the purpose...I'm getting real time data so I am not so concerned about the average.

BTW, if you could put all your questions in Gobbles condo for the day and just use the "?" button, it would keep all this info in one place.

Thank yoU!

idk about anybody else, but I don't average. I just put both numbers in the space.

Have a great evening -

I would recommend a "re-test" if you happen to get a number that is really high or really low in relation to any other numbers within the past hour or two... a number that just seems to "not belong". But after doing so, I'd put the number that seems to make the most sense in your SS rather than averaging. When Bob was on insulin, and I saw a "wonky" number that made me test again, the optimist in me would put the better looking number on his chart.
One caveat to that. If you see a really low number? Assume it's correct for safety's sake. If you see a 50 or lower, you're going to be testing again really soon anyway.

I think I am the one who mentioned that I do that with Kazi - BUT, it's a rare occurance for me. IE - I test and she is 77 at shot time. If I retest and get an 85 or something relatively close I'll average and call it good. If I get something closer to normal the second test - say at around 130 or so I just go with the number that seems to fit where she normally falls. No need to test multiple times unless the number seems excessively high or low...you'll make yourself crazy!
