Autumn is Nekkid!!!

Autumn went to the vet today and they stole her clothes. While I knew she was thin, I just want to cry now seeing how thin she actually is, and this is after she has already gained half a pound and a few ounces since she has been home with us. But she has to feel so much better being free from all those mats. I just hate being able to see every bone in her little body. The vet set her ideal weight at 14lbs...we've got a long ways to go before she will see that weight again, as today she tipped the scale at 6.5lbs.



Even with the stress of being at the vet's from 9am to 5pm (don't ask me why it took so long to shave a cat) she still tested in at 315 at +10 and only 345 at her pmps.

She will now grow back a beautiful new fur coat, thanks to help from her Momma!
and with fur comes weight!!! just a little, but... you can do it if anyone can!

Poor darling...what a day! I hope shes back home and following you around telling you about her adventure at the vets. Kit talks a heck of a lot too...like full sentences! Its hilarious! With you help and love, autumns gonna be a real beauty (altho she already is...but u know what i mean lol)
 
Well she isn't following me around today...she has discovered the basement...complete with all the kitty trees and crinkle tunnels to play in...lol She isn't playing with any of it yet, but she is having a wonderful time exploring it all, plus it is cooler down there so that probably feels good as well.

She does know exactly when mealtimes are and shows up like clockwork to tell me that I'm being way to slow and that I should get those cans open quicker.

LOL, Mel just tell her that you'd be perfectly willing to let her help open the cans faster as long as she can quickly develop some oppossble thumbs!

shhhh Carl...Musette has already learned how to open the microwave. :o I so don't need a cat that knows how to open the food cans, Musette's namesake Muse knew how to do that and she had neither oppossable thumbs or even front claws, she would hug the can, then use her teeth to pull the ring on the top. :roll:
