Autumn Emergency surgery-She's HOME!!

Last night when I went to feed for the last time before bed I noticed she was really drooling and pawing at her mouth. Then she refused to eat so I got her to let me see inside her mouth. She's snapped off one of her fangs and its hanging by a thread but up against the roof of her mouth. So as soon as the vet opens I'm taking her in for an emergency dental surgery.

But bless her heart she snuggled with mom all night purring her little heart out.

Oh, precious baby! I hope all will go well with the surgery and she'll be back to her old self ASAP!

Any fang-shaped holes in Mr. Cassanova this morning? @-)

It just rotted off. She was scheduled for a dental this month but after Arabella got sick and cost us a small fortune we had pushed Autumn's dental back until we could pay down the previous bill. Well best laid plans of mice and men. There is a fund raiser started for her but since it's against board policy to post it here if anyone is interested PM me and I'll give you the link.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet baby. Poor little girl. Saying prayers for a speedy recovery.

Just picked her up and Oh is she loopy on pain meds. Walking very drunk, cussing like a sailor and talking to inanimate objects like the wall paper and demanding to eat which she can't do yet for another 2 hours. Haven't looked yet to see how many teeth they took besides the fang.

And not too lousy of BGs either only 390 for being at the vet's all day no insulin and getting HC kitty crack in recovery. They gave her some gravy off those new saucy Friskies. But hey at least I've trained them off the Moxi drops and she came home with clindamycin.

So glad she's back in the fold. Hopefully the surgery will make her feel (and function) better overall after she recovers from the immediate wounds.
 
So glad to hear Autumn is safely back at home. And even though she's been through a traumatic experience, I had to laugh at your description of her homecoming!
Oh, these silly cats we love! :lol: Life would be so boring without them!
