Hi all, I know I have been very absent lately. Dealing with a lot here.... but wanted to share Beau's birthday and an update:

I am so proud of him for making it this far! In addition to his battles with FD, HCM and hyperT, over the past year he has suffered from a degenerative neurological disease and increasing blindness. This leaves him very unsteady and somewhat confused, but he still has a good appetite and eats well and drinks water. He tries to groom, but isn't too successful. I gave him a bath earlier this week and it sent his BG into the 500s he was so upset! So I will go back to mini sponge-baths instead.
So this is a bitter-sweet day as I know it is among his last. But tonight he will get salmon for a treat and I am sure he will purr about it as he purrs over most food and his boiled chicken treats.
