Weight on home scale, who knows~ 10.8 or 12.6lbs....the scale isn't all it's cracked up to be

Health: asthma attack Friday night & Saturday night/ sneezing Friday night

With the anesthesia event at the u, I don't remember if I posted the CT results....his sinus infection has mostly resolved. That means most of his sinuses are clear and there is one small spot still showing. That is why he keeps swallowing, its location means the drainage goes down his throat (post nasal drip) as opposed to out his nostrils.

No insulin added at this time. Want to see if he can drop on his own.

Head: his head hurts. BFF civvies decided to wash his head and neck. He had a dazed look in his eyes and his tongue was sticking out of his mouth a little.

He may be returning to the bupe and furosemide. We will see how today goes.

Force fed A/D for breakfast.

Didn't get many snuggles last night, a few and a few this am.

Hopefully he will mend soon.

I'm heading out to work, so I like this # better.

I'm contemplating take your cat to work Sunday. I know there will be dogs there. Will see if he wants to go.

Just returning from and we vet visit. His pupils were not constricting with light as they should.

Just got home.

Now, I'm ready to rest.

More sneezing. He's going back on antibiotics.

Edit:
I learned there is something else to use for head swelling other than Mannitol, hypertonic saline. Er vet said new literature is saying it's better than Mannitol. She uses it before Mannitol and said she has better luck with it. She didn't want to do it tonight. Wants to go slow, try meds and see how he responds.

I found out I may have some ptsd with vets & my fd boy after the u. When the vet tech talked about the hypertonic saline and taking him back and giving it, I started crying. I couldn't deal with them taking him. Luckily, the er vet & tech are awesome and they did everything in the room. The er vet pointed out I may have ptsd after the u. I'm guessing I need to see someone. What kind of person do you see after what the u did? It's such a narrow focus, I don't know any mental health people that may do vet anxiety in humans. I started to unravel. Then the er vet put me right back together. Vet tech was appalled that the u didn't give me credit for knowing the needs of my animal. She's like.....oh my gosh, if you say your cat needs something, it needs something. You know your animals. Both were concerned about the way he was treated at u. Love my animal crew here. And the vet tech has a ❤crush❤ on my boy.

It seems that the ER vet and vet tech were very kind, compassionate people. So important when working with anxious, stressed owners and ill kitties. As for your own extreme stress reactions after that awful experience, you might start by asking your family doctor for help if you have one and feel comfortable with him/her. They can also recommend other help if it's needed. :bighug::bighug:

@apple , :bighug: :bighug: and re Kris's thought about asking your family doctor. Another possible is if you have an Animal Communicator (AC), healing for one is healing for all in home and she'd be more closely connected with all. Just a thought.
Also homeopathic remedy Ignatia can be helpful during such times.

I put him in a tote bag and carry it over my shoulder. He greets everyone, provides stress relief, and joy.

Or he wanders around greeting all and keeping away the purple elephants.

I was painting mice. To give you context.....most staffers run mac and a couple run pc because of platform requirements........we bought pc replacement mice instead of mac mice. I'll get tired of saying LEFT click, so I painted a place to put your finger on the mouse. Harley orange place to put your finger, on deep grey mice. :p I know I'll get calls saying the computer doesn't work......but at least it's a start.

Almost finished the mice today.
