Am I missing something? He swallowed 2 feet but only 1 foot has come up so half the ribbon is still in him yes/no?
From you Allison
post80 "and yes foreign linear objects and I suspect other less ominous ones CAN remain in cats' bodies for many many months...static...I guess...odd but true...but they can very suddenly rear their ugly heads should something change and they can obstruct and destroy portions of your pets intestines"
post85 "I would get a warning ...like vomiting or not eating or feeling noticeably unwell"
post87 "I have heard pieces like this can get into his intestines and wreak havoc..but I will get a warning before he will require emergency surgery. .vomiting...lethargy...no pooping"
>Only one of four things will happen. He poops it out, he vomits it out, it breaks down in his system, it comes out through surgery.
If he puked it up in pieces and it has not broken down then pooping it out will be very painful and the sharp edges may cut him.
>You never answered my question about they type of ribbon, plant based or synthetic which goes to my thought of it breaking down naturally.
>If he pukes the rest up is there a chance he may choke on it? Are you ready for this to happen at home?
>More than once you have said you will "thankfully" get a warning. That could mean anything. Beenie is your cat, it's not my business but like the rest of us you made him a promise when you adopted him. Look at your words in red. You're playing with fire.
Jill offered you financial help, did you look yet? A forever home has to mean something.
