Hi Kids:

Hope everybody is doin’ great out there in PZI Land. I am about to check up on all of you :)

I am back from being a dirty hippy again. I volunteer at Phila Folk Fest on the Groundz crew, turning a working farm into a festival. This year is the 50th annual! The actual fest isn’t until Aug 18th but we put up fencing and build temporary buildings and floors/roofs on the grounds in the weekends prior. So you prob won’t see me here on weekends until after August.
Tom is a sweetheart doing weekend kitty duty so I can continue my 25th year of volunteering.

Asher is doing real well. We are in a quandry if he needs 3.1 or 3.2 units. We had two days in a row (the 30th and the 1st) where he was too low to shoot on time, so we went back down to 3.1. But then last night he hits a 300 :(

So maybe we just have to roll with the 3.2 for awhile until he settles into it? Or maybe this is just how Asher will be?

I just updated the spreadsheet. Any thoughts are most welcome.

Good on you for volunteering! And good on Tom for being a Sweetheart!!

Maybe Asher needs 3.15---do you wear bifocals??!!!!!

Have a Great Day Donna

I do wear bifocals. And if we r gonna try to draw a 3.15 I am gonna have to get stronger ones ;)

I wear them also and understand totally!!! The whole units give me a fit at times!

I was wondering about you and Asher, Donna. He does seem to be hanging in there, really pretty regulated.......Actually maybe a fat 3.1 would be good? I wonder if he is in the 100s or lower at nadir.

Sounds like a fun August. Is this like the Renaissance Fair we have in Colorado?

I am going to check him today around +5 and +6 to see where his nadir is now. Seemed to us it was later recently but we haven’t done a full curve for awhile.

A fat 3.1 is probably doable with my crappy eyes. If I had someone hold the syringe across the room I might be ok ;) Damn arms aren’t long enuf...

The folk fest is indeed a blast. Here is the link to their site if anyone is interested:

http://www.pfs.org/folk-festival

The music is mostly folk, celtic, singer-songwriter, bluegrass. There are crafters and food vendors there along with the 4 stages of music. They also have jugglers and storytelling for kids.
The Grounds crew and a few others do “dress up” at fest but other than that most of what you see is tye dye, glitter and the occasional mud ;)

We go to a Ren Faire here in PA but that is less music and more costumes and theatrics.

Very flat day here...
+4.5 209
+6 235
+9 231
Feel like we need to go back to 3.2 u.......

I sometimes have to wear my bifocals & use a magnifying glass! Who was it around here that said they had to put on 2 pairs of bifocals?

That's the trouble with this sugar dance....flat could mean a dose increase or it could mean a dose decrease??

One of my favorite fest moments over the years was taking a shower in the campground to Arlo singing in the afternoon concert. Priceless :)

Yes, kinda ;) People build their own showers, elaborate or simple. It’s interesting to walk around and check out people’s creativity when it comes to getting clean...

Sounds great fun at your fest. I recently heard Arlo at the Clearwater Festival on the Hudson, and he was very good and very funny. He did " the City of New Orleans", which I love.

I would probably go with just a teeny-tiny bit under 3.2. Really you only had one cycle with a +12 too low to shoot. You haven't had any low numbers (that you caught at least), so I'd really be tempted to stick with 3.2 or just a hair under that. And really even a +12 too low to shoot is a good thing if there weren't actual lows during the cycle. It's a pain for your schedule, but the more you can hit really good numbers for a long stretch, the more pancreas healing (if that's in the cards).

I miss folk music - grew up on that, it was (is!) such great music!
