Can’t believe February is almost over. Jeebus.

Anyhow, thought I’d update you on our non-progress. (In case my mistakes can help anyone else :lol: )
We held 1.4u for 5 cycles to try to clear rebound. It’s possible I should have held it longer, or held a lower dose. Holding was making me nutz. He was in 3 and 400’s and seemed sluggish. Vet said when we raise, raise by .2, which we did. Sunday he had a great run during the day. Too good actually. We had to shoot at +14 Sunday night and reduce the dose. Sunday overnight he hit 84 at +4 so I fed a snack. Now back on the roller coaster. 429 (ouch) this morning.

I don’t get how on 1.4 he can be in 3 and 400’s all day and on 1.6 it’s too much insulin. I may have to use Judy’s trick of wearing two pairs of glasses to draw a 1.5 :lol:

What my current plan of action will probably be is I am hoping today’s dose will bring him into ok numbers, and tonight I will shoot 1.4 and try to hold that dose for as long as I can stand. If he bounces around tho, I guess I have to get used to the idea that I have to make myself miserable giving him 1.2 for a whole week to clear all this mess.

SS is current. Drowning my sorrows in coffee until I have to leave for work this afternoon.

After last night's pretty green, couldn't this morning be a bounce? Just a thought. :smile:

And, FWIW, Poopy shows differences with .1u so it doesn't surprise me to see such differences with .2u. ECID though. :smile:

Yeah I am sure this morning is a bounce. Makes me crazy. All of a sudden I have a Tigger. New to us, so I have to train my brain not to react so much to it.

Hard for me to comment on Asher's SS because it's so darn puzzling to me.
Maybe time to break out the u40's to measure a 1.5u. Seems as if 1.4 isn't doing the trick and 1.6 is too much providing everything else like food type and quantity are remaining the same.

My vet’s assistant just called to see how we are doing. I told her about the bounce again so I expect a call from him later today. I so wish we could get this behind us and move ahead.

Oh Donna, he spoiled you. :mrgreen: Think how long he was in the same range all the time with the same shot. Guess he thought it was too dull.

Probably Sue. And I think our vet jinxed us. Last time we were in he said Asher was their most regulated cat in their practice ohmygod_smile
