After noticing that a member here was feeding Dr. Elsey's food and discovering that it was not on either Dr. Lisa's or Tanya's lists, I contacted the company for their values and here is the email I received.

How nice to have a company be so responsive and cooperative! Now those that would like to consider these foods can do the calculations and determine if they are right for their cats.

I'm not sure ANY dry food can truly be 0% carbs though

I hope someone who understand how to do it will go through the numbers and see what they come up with

Unfortunately, China wasn't impressed with their canned.....and nobody here liked their dry either (they sent me samples of both and I offered some to the civvies to see what would happen...they tried to bury it)

The phosphorus is too high for kidney kitties except for turkey and chicken. Beef too high in carbs for diabetic unless low BG.

Ziggy, loves the Dr. Elsey's dry food. Is it ok for a diabetic cat to have? I've been giving him a small amount, from time to time, but he is crazy about it, so I would like to be able to give him more. Thanks.

Aside from Fancy Feast classic pates, I feed my diabetic kitty Dr. Elsey's CleanProtein Dry and he has done well on it. I tried him on the Young Again and although he liked it as well, it wreaked havoc on his tummy (& my other cats' tummies too) so I had to stop feeding them YA.

Thanks. I give him the Fancy Feast classic pate wet, but he loves dry food, and especially Dr. Elsey's. LOL
