Are we heading for a hypo?

We’re only on day 5 of insulin this time around (Abbie was in remission from March, 2019 til last weekend.) Her AMPS was 148. Gave .5 unit of Lantus. Her +3 is 71. Opinions?

Not sure why you increased. I’d test now. Did you feed when you got that 71?

Hey there. I am concerned if you aren’t checking that bg and feeding to prevent a hypo.

Encouraged her to eat when she tested at 71, as she free feeds. Tested again at +4 and she's now at 94. All good here.

I went up to .5 units because her numbers went high a few days ago because I think I fur shot her. Should I reduce back to .25 if her numbers are still <200 at PMPS? Thanks!

You don’t want to increase because of a fur shot. You just continue on and let the depot rebuild. I would go back to .25. What are you feeding her? How old is she? Any other health issues? In the past did you follow one of our methods? Would you please add all this to your signature so you won’t keep getting asked?
