I haven't been here in quite some time as my life has become super hectic compared to how it used to be (work & school full time, as well as several more fur kids than I ever had before... LIFE IS GOOD!). I still have my two boys who are now almost 18-1/2 years old and Pooh has been diet controlled for most of the time since he was 1st dx'd in May of 2005 (? I think, possibly 2004).
I have a question & this was the first place I knew to check. Back when I was logging in daily trying to learn how to take care of my sweet-guy, I remember conversations about dogs also & that there was someone who was going to start a site to help with that also. I have a friend who, just today, learned her 10-11 yr. old dog is diabetic & she said they're starting her out at 12 units of insulin. I remember 4 units that my buddy was started out at was high & I'm not sure if the same holds true for dogs. can anybody tell me if there is, in fact, a website to help with canine diabetes & where that might be so I can pass the information along to my friend? I would greatly appreciate it
