Anyoneeeeeeeeeeeeeee???? bean needs to know to shoot or not

seems worst of the crisis may be past but i'd like your guys' input as to that dose increase she just did yesterday and if it should be reversed or reduced? (i'm not a daily poster anymore so have to admit i'm not up to date on the latest and greatest)

or for that matter, if anyone has any thoughts on what else the problem may have been with her kitty

Hi, it was my kitty that had a hypo this morning right as I was doing his AMPS test...my first hypo and it scared the daylights out of me! I tested right after he had the convulsion, urinated on himself and threw up, his BG was at 4.6...not really at a level I would have though would cause a hypo. I rubbed some honey on his gums, and fed him 2 tins of high carb food and his numbers after that were: +15min - 5.7, +30min - 6.7. +45min - 7.9, +1hour - 9.3. I'm now worried about this rapid rise, and whether I should give him any insulin at all this morning.

The past few days he's had really high readings, which I think stemmed from a change in food and the vet had told me to raise his insulin from 2 units to 2.5 which I started yesterday morning (2.5 units at both AM and PM). His numbers dropped significantly overnight, I was up with him all night and I gave him food at +3 and +6. During the night his behaviour was completely normal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry I haven't ventured into this forum yet, still new on here and am completely lost as to the set up and what exactly I need to write on this forum.

Hehe, I saw this after I made my previous post, looks like everyone's out partying :lol:.

Miley is looking great, but my nerves are completely shot; I've had my cry, the shaking has now stopped and Miley is looking at me as though i'm an idiot...I swear he also rolled his eyes at me!

Wow, that must have been awful. I'm glad Miley is feeling better now. Hugs to you. 4.6 is an 83 in US units, so that doesn't seem like it would be a hypo. Hopefully a more experienced member will stop by.

He had a 3.7 (69) at +6 and was completely fine, I gave him some food which he wolfed down and proceeded to curl up next to me, bathe and go to sleep...this morning was a real shock! I'm now starting to worry that it was something else, he has a lot of health issues...but everything else seems fine.
