Lando has been on miralax for a few weeks to solve his constipation.
Two days ago i decided to throw slippery elm in the mix.
The slippery elm seemed to get the train running ( gross)

There are two other cats ( ckd ) with the same back up issues.
Slippery elm SEEMS to be working for everyone!

does anyone have any good experiences? Bad experiences?

I've used it for years. The first cat had stomatitis and it worked wonders for her. Now I use it for my civvie kitty who's always had stomach issues. It will calm her tummy down and she eats within the hour. Currently, she's getting it every day. Seems to be keeping her eating. I do give Kahlua some for diarrhea. It's done nothing for that. But, maybe I should lay off a bit if it helps with constipation!

I usually give it to Checkers when I see signs of nausea such as not wanting to eat an chewing on plastic. It seems to calm his tummy down and he eats not long after. I give it to him in a syrup (mix the powder in some hot water and let it cool). Though he hates when I syring it into his mouth, I end up wearing half:p.
