? Anyone use Cerenia & Prevomax injections?

I have a cat that won't pill and am looking for alternatives to ondansetron. During my research, I came across Prevomax: maropitant (Cerenia) which uses benzyl alcohol as the preservative. Supposed to sting less.

For those who have injected cerenia, how bad is the sting?
Anyone tried Prevomax, the new version? I can only find it listed in the UK (I'm US)

Have you tried pill pockets. My sugar boy is impossible to pill. I buy greenies chicken flavor pill pockets & he eats them right up with Cerenia & whatever other pill he needs. I give him one with the pill in it & an empty one.

yes, lasted about a day, then went through various stages of hiding in food, treat, fish, heart, etc. She doesn't even eat the unlaced any more. I even wrapped it in a bit of pill pocket & froze to seal in the nasty, then hide that in something else & it takes about 2 go's to figure it out. She swallows nothing whole, perhaps a by-product of eating so much free range (outside cat)

I'm not sure if your ondansetron is a pill or a wafer, but we have the wafers here in Australia and they are just put on the tongue and they wont fall off so it is absorbed.
Maybe you could look into that

Wondering if you were giving the pill in its raw form or in a size 5 gel capsule? The capsule worked for me. Lando would foam at the mouth with raw cerenia . Sorry i dont have experience with the injectable. FWIW i also heard some members saying you could go to a compound rx for ear ointments??

Getting it in her mouth is the hard part - actually, just getting her mouth open - or, just holding her for that matter

Ahhh got it! So frustrating!
