Has anyone tried sophistocats wet food? Its in binkys and some have very low carb values. Kit seems to like it. He likes the country style dinner. He is a country boy after all! Still a few kibble sprinkled on top but hey he's eating it and would just try to bury the FF lol. Has anyone found it a good substitute?

Hi Terri,

My Casey eats Sophistocats, and Friskies, and she likes most of the flavors Ihave bought so far. Contrary to Kit, Casey did not like the Country Style....that and Beef & Liver. (I am finding out she does not like liver).

So, Casey like the taste, I like the low carb and the price.

Terrie,

I just read your post on the not eating thread anf figured thatyou are fishing food other foods to try. Casey had been a kibble cat up until about a week and a half ago, wo. The wet food she devoured were Friskies: Flaked with Tuna and Egg, and I think the other was Chicken and Tuna.

PS - I just tried Sophisticat's Poultry Platter, she does not seem to like that one either...

Thank Goodness, Kit is eating something!!!

I put either Sophistocats or Friskies in the timed feeder when I go to work. My cats eat it okay. You can't beat the cost.

Motor eats Sophisticats very well. It's what we switched to from "crack". The only flavor he won't eat is the mixed grill. (He doesn't like most poultry).

I can't beat the cost!

we were on that for 9 months and #'s started creeping up nailbite_smile , we have now switched over to EVO and are doing fine now, wish i could go back to that due to price but i get a discount for buying a case at a time at this local all natural pet store.

It was one I bought when we first switched over to soft, I think chicken and tuna, mixed grill, and a turkey one. It gradually worked its way out of the rotation because I couldn't stand the smell of it.

If you've got an accurate, digital kitchen scale, you may want to weigh the cans before opening. I noticed some distinct variability in how full the cans were - as much as an ounce at times - so they may be having some quality control issues in production.

Note if you weigh stuff:
can + food weight = can + food you get out + residue left in can

Me tooo Carl me too!

He seems to like the mixed grill and the country style dinner. But strangely didn't like the FF mixed grill. I have kitchen scale on my list to buy so I can keep better track of his calories too he's a hefty 15 pounder! Were down to about 6-7 pieces of kitty crack on top. I'm actually thinkin he didn't miss the crack, he just didn't like the FF.

My Boomer used to eat Sophisticat. God - I wish I could go back...it's SO cheap and there are grain-free ones too. Merlin has a sensitive tummy so I need to be very careful. Maybe my new kitten (when I get her) will be able to eat it?
