Anyone ever used this toothpaste?

I read something somewhere about being cautious about biotene for cats. I use the C.E.T tooth paste, you can get it from the vet,but much cheaper online. If you see glucose oxidase in the ingredients, that is not a sugar, but an enzyme that oxidizes sugar:
from Wikipedia:
The glucose oxidase enzyme (GOx) (EC 1.1.3.4) is an oxido-reductase that catalyses the oxidation of glucose to hydrogen peroxide and D-glucono-δ-lactone. In cells, it aids in breaking the sugar down into its metabolites.

Tis is the one I use for Tess http://www.medi-vet.com/prod-C_E_T__Cat_Oral_Hygiene_Kit,_Seafood_Flavor-1759.aspx, same as from the vet, but it is over $14 there. This also has a great brush w/ it, most are too large for a cat's mouth. The 1/4" brush let you get in at a much better angle.

Also check out this sit for a great step by step way to get started brushing your cat's teeth http://partnersah.vet.cornell.edu/pet/fhc/brushing_teeth

I've never heard of that toothpaste.

CET toothpaste is diabetic-friendly, though not the malt one because that contains barley malt syrup. Try the poultry or seafood ones instead. Your vet may sell CET products or maybe the local groomer or non-chain pet store. And you can buy online. I buy the toothpaste from the groomers and I've also seen it at the (expensive) non-chain pet store for $3 more  CET makes toothbrushes and finger brushes, too. I use the mini cat toothbrush but it only comes as part of a starter kit which I can only get from the vet.

I am pretty sure Cedric also uses CET, seafood flavor, purchased from the vet. We brush aobut once per week, which I would like to do more often, but this stray cat I rescued has been taking up so much of my limited time...Cedric likes the seafood flavor, but the biggest problem I have is he wants to LICK the toothbrush instead of chew it....funny since he's willing to chew everything else (including the coffee table...)

 I have the opposite problem with one of my civies. He chews on anything that comes near his mouth @-) Thus why I don't use a finger brush. Neither civie care much for the poultry or seafood flavored toothpaste. My GA loved the poultry toothpaste so much he would sit under the cabinet where I kept the toothpaste and beg

I brush one civie's teeth daily (his breed is prone to dental problems) and my other civie only tolerates every other day brushing.
