Lando is on .25u of Lantus. His calorie intake is a bit lower than normal. Is dipping below 65 normal! It is making me concerned that he is way too insulin sensitive!
Yup gave him a bit of med carb food! And roger that (.1 u) thanks for the response! Please feed Lando some medium or high carb food to bump up his numbers. And yes, a drop like that is possible.
Ok, so Lando isnt a special snowflake in this instance haha! Thanks for sharing what is going on with Oscar, very helpful!I certainly don’t have the experience to offer advice, but just to show you aren’t alone, my guy hit lime green on .1 unit. In our case, we’re hoping for an OTJ trial soon, because we’ve been steadily decreasing. Even on a drop, he swings down into low greens. Hopefully Lando’s pancreas is waking up!
I took a look at oscars spreadsheet and its interesting. Seems a bit similar. Started off on a higher dose, had some bouts of not eating ( tho with lando it was a pancreatitis attack). Then very sensitive to low levels of insulin. Im happy you popped up Andrea. Oscars “story” is great to seeI certainly don’t have the experience to offer advice, but just to show you aren’t alone, my guy hit lime green on .1 unit. Reality check noted! Please don't get ahead of yourself. Lando is not in normal range numbers and you don't want to stop insulin prior to seeing a very green spreadsheet. You want the best remission possible so your cat stays in remission.
Some cats boing their way into remission.
I will be patient!
