BD now has 6 mm syringes, has anyone tried them?

I bought a box and am a bit hesitant, afraid the needle will be "too short". Katie has semi long hair, and sometimes the thickness of her fur gets bunched up under the needle, I guess I am afraid the tip of the needle won't make it under the skin if too much fur gets in the way. Do you think that is a possibility? Or maybe I am being neurotic, I don't know.

Has anyone tried them?

Mikey hates the 8mm ones, so I doubt I'll be trying these (unless I accidentally buy them like I keep doing with the 8mm ones  ). What gauge are they? The other problem I have with the 8mm ones (and probably contributes to why Mikey doesn't like them) is that the needle is thinner (31 gauge) than the 12.7mm (29 gauge) and I've had problems with the needle bending and breaking (once into Mikey's skin! :o ).

For Katie, you might use a fine tooth comb to part the fur so you can see the skin.

You can try. The BD instructions says you have to have a script. I have my vet writer one even though a script in not required in my state for syringes.
