hello! :) i am thinking of switching to pzi. if anyone has switched from lantus to pzi and had positive results, please share ur story with me? would love the input. thanks.

When I had Spitzer, I went from Lantus to ProZinc. For him, it didn't last the full 12 hours. He had other issues which may have contributed to that.

An advantage is you can, once you have some mid-cycle data, adjust the dose on the fly.

Hi Pam,

Actually ProZinc works similar to N which you used first, right? It isn't a depot insulin so you have more flexibility. So, you can give earlier or later if needed, you can dose different amounts am and pm, can dose 11/13 if needed. The difference is that ProZinc should give you longer cycles than N and shouldn't have that early fast drop. It does not have the protocol of Lantus, so you lose that comfort of knowing what dose you will give each time. With ProZinc, you adjust more and have to try things to see what works.

im sorry. jst seeing these replies. yes i did use N at first. i know u didnt forget me sue, and nvr will. probably ur toughest person evr? ;)
thx

Lucian went from Lantus, to Levemir to PZI and the PZI has definitely been the best for him so far.
