Any experience with Bexacat?

Anyone with experience with Bexacat? Jhandi at age 14.5 just got diagnosed with diabetes. She has been on Bexacat 2.5 months and the recommended blood tests are showing great results so far. She also has urinary issues (bladder stone surgery at age 2!), so I can't change her off the urinary prescription diet. Anyone with experience with Bexacat that I can share experiences with?

We're all learning together when it comes to these new drugs. The one thing that I know is very important is that you must test for ketones because with insulin, if the numbers are really high, they're more likely to produce ketones but with the new drugs, they can be producing ketones while their blood glucose is still normal. We suggest getting a blood ketone meter like the Keto Mojo. The strips are pricey, but ketone show up in the blood first. You could also get urine ketone test strips which are much cheaper but you have to be able to get a fresh urine sample. Here are some Urine Testing Tips
