Any diabetic dental treats out there?

Gnawing on raw chicken wings, chicken necks, or gizzards seems to help. A quick dunk in boiling water will kill off surface bacteria.

Thank you.

There should be a diabetic treat for dental care.

Angela,
What do you consider 'dental care'? I give KT a few bites of raw chicken breast every few days (when I fix it for us) - it's very 'chewy' and seems to help.

BIG HUGS!!

Problem is that unlike dogs, cats don't chew on things for a long time. It's more bite swallow. So dental treats don't work well. Plus the bacterial build up is more related to the balance of bacteria in teh cats mouth which varies cat to cat. Wet food offers a better bacterial balance than dry but again it depends on the cat. Best thing is choose a wet food and brush the cats teeth if they are prone to issues...
