OYE. This cat is gonna kill me! Check out his SS. His 413 right now is odd to me. PLUS it's mealtime, so he just ate (after the 413). He would normally have over an hour till his next shot - but since I'm kinda "chasing the number", should I shoot now? He had a reasonable cycle yesterday, but stayed well over 200 the entire time.

I did test him for ketones this morning and it was negative, though the bottle of strips is right at the "six months after opening" mark. The bottle has only been opened a handful of times. Should I get new strips tomorrow, or do you think these are still ok for a bit?

What the... HOW would his bg be LOWER at PMPS than it was at +10?? He ate just after the +10 reading. I just can't figure out his cycles!! I gave a shy .25u (I looked around, but can't find any u100 needles - will pick some up tomorrow as these low doses seem to be needed and I'd rather be more "sure" about the amount). Will be able to get at least 2 more tests in before bed. Poor cat isn't very happy with me, what with all the pokin' lately. :?

On a positive note... I updated my avatar (FINALLY!). Isn't he a handsome man???

Not sure, Jenn. Yesterday's cycle looked pretty good. The .25 looked good last night and today's amps looked better. I think I'd give it a few more cycles at .25 and see how he looks. And yes, you could shoot now. Any time after +10 is okay as long as it doesn't mess your schedule up.

Any time you get a weird test result, re-test, just in case it was a problem with the test.

I think his pancreas is trying to work. Yesterday, his bg was lower at PMPS than it was 2hrs prior, even with a meal in between. This morning it was lower than it was at 2am. Still high, but lower. Just weird. I'm holding at .25 - even a little shy of .25 - would really like to see some greens (or at least blues) though. I will say, his thirst drive seems to be going back to normal - he didnt ask for the faucet at all yesterday or this morning. He's still scarfing down his food, but doesn't seem to be searching for more QUITE so frantically. Both of those things give me a little hope.

I do worry that my ProZinc is too old - but I guess with him needing such a low dose, maybe it doesn't matter.
