? Another reduction already?

Three nights ago Frankie hit a low of 2.9 (52) on the AT meter, so his dose was reduced. He bounced, predictably, but didn't get into the blacks at all this time!!! That is real progress for him. Now, 5 cycles on the new dose, at AM +6 he was 3.6 (65). Luckily the sitter caught it and I told her what to do, and an hour later he has increased to 6.3 (113). Would this still be the depot working, or has he earned himself another reduction?

This could possibly still be a little bit of depot action, but on Alphatrak 65 is a low and if it were me, I might take the reduction and see how it goes. If after a couple of the reduced dose you start to see the numbers going back up you can always increase again. Then again, he came back up really quickly so you could try this dose again tonight and see how he does. Since he is still not quite use to the GREEN numbers it is likely that he will bounce again in the next 24 hours.

Congratulations on to hitting the black with this last bounce, that is definitely progress.
 
Thanks. I will take the reduction. He doesn't usually respond this quick, but with a shorter, red only bounce, I suppose I should get used to his patterns changing.
 
In two hours he has gone from 9.7 (175) to 27.1 (488). How is this even possible???? Think I'll shoot through the bounce tonight and reduce in the morning.

don't get discouraged....bounces are all just part of the sugardance

That was an awfully fast drop last night as well as dropping too low....he'll come back down!
 
Bounces like that will happen when he drops low like he did. My cat Sheba is a great bouncer...she is better than she was but she still bounces but comes back down to green. Frankie hasn't seen a lot of green so he will bounce until he is more used to them. Don't be discouraged at all....it is all part of the journey.
 
It's more like two steps forward and one back (hence why it's nicknamed the dance) so you do make progress but it's quite the emotional roller coaster on the way. Try not to Focus too much on single tests - unless they're green/blue then you should suck up the joy!

Sue I remember posting that EXACT comment a while back. Frankie has earned 2 reductions in three days and given you some pretty low numbers. A bounce was inevitable. But Frankie seems to be on a mission, so he should hopefully clear the bounce in the next few cycles.
