Am I going up too fast? I'm grasping for anything in these numbers to suggest we're making even a smidgen of progress, but I can't see it. So now I'm impatient to keep moving up, but with so many increases in quick succession, is it too fast? I'd like to increase tonight so that Sunday I can get some data on the new dose.

I don't think you are going up too fast. I would go to 2.25 units. At least she stayed out of the reds today (so far). Try to get at least one spot check in each cycle. How is she acting, feeling, eating? Hopefully that UTI is almost gone. How many more days on the Baytril?

We just got back from the vet. They still saw RBCs and WBCs in the urine, so she may still have the infection. We're going to do at least another 5 days of Baytril until they get a culture back on the urine.

Her eating is normal, but I don't think she feels so well. Nothing pronounced, she just seems a little off.

Hi Melissa,
Sorry I haven't checked in with you & Celle. I agree I don't see much movement at all either, so doing the minimum of 3 days at a dose is probably fine.

I hope they find something out from the culture. I thought that should have been back already? I guess it depends what day of the week they sent it out, but 5 days turn around should be maximum, not counting weekends probably, so 7 days. I know the culture has to grow, but the labs do them all the time! It should be a streamlined process.

Maybe Dr. Lisa's urinary tract infection info is getting out there and the labs are inundated with C&S tests now!!
