Hi all,

I've not been very active here recently, but this place was a godsend in Angel's earlier diabetes days. I'm heartbroken to announce that as one week ago, she has passed on.

The diabetes was well regulated. But then she also got CKD in august. Then anemia caused by a bone marrow disorder, kidney stones which caused extreme hemorrhage (pure blood urine), which worsened the anemia, then clotting problems too. Her little body was just done. We had to let her go to avoid further suffering. She went very peacefully, with the taste of chicken nuggets on her tongue (she was still eating up until the end, my little food champion).

When so many things go wrong all at once, it becomes heartbreaking to know their time is near. Saying goodbye is so painful, but helping our furbabies pass peacefully is the kindest thing we can do when their time with us is at an end. My heart goes out to you. I will light a candle for Angel, fly free sweet girl.cat_wings>o
