I hate the vet bashing, though a couple may deserve it. We expect our vets to know all things about all species. Most are wonderful, caring people. I guess I'm prejudiced - my dad was a veterinarian. He worked long hours, was on call almost all the time. He took good care of his clients. But running an animal hospital, even back in the 1950-80's, was expensive. It's even worse now. We need to be reminded that most vets are just people trying to make a living and doing the best they can.
